Jim and I dropped the girls off in Nashville and headed to Dallas for the weekend! We met up with the Settles and lots of others to cheer on the HOGS! Jonathan got us an excellent tailgating spot so we celebrated in style all day. The Hogs won so you couldn't ask for a better ending! The new Cowboys stadium is truly amazing! Its a must see...

The Whites are moving off to OK City so of course we had to have a big send off for them! We had a great time of food, drinks, stories and of course karaoke! Things will not be the same around the Fort without this wonderful family.

Best of luck Chris, Kelly, Reaghan, Spencer and baby Piper! We will miss yall so much!

We headed south to Crystal Beach, TX to visit with my dad's side of the family for a few days. Patti rebuilt the beach house after Ike in 2008. It is SO FREAKING PRECIOUS. If anyone is looking for a good family time on the beach somewhere then this place is definitely where to be. The only bad thing I can say about it is we didn't spend enough time there! The girls had such a blast!!! Seriously. They were so good the entire time and LOVED playing on the beach. They (namely Averi) especially loved playing with Patti and Laini's dogs :)  Can. Not. Wait. til 2011...expect a couple more days of pics too!

We went up to Mt. Nebo for Hix's family reunion this weekend. He got us our own cabin, but the girls ended up staying with them so we got the whole place to ourselves! It was so peaceful, and the girls had so much fun! We hope to go back very soon. Who knew we were so outdoorsy :)

Papaw and GranGran loaded up Sydni and Matilda and headed to Dallas! Its Matilda's birthday this month and she wanted to visit the American Girl girl store. It looked like the girls had a great time!! Mom wanted me to put her pics on the site so she could share them easier. (there are a couple of Averi too from when we were on our cruise)

Big thank you to the grandparents for taking the girls on such a special trip! Its one they will never forget :)

Meet Piper Duffy! She was born today! I made my way up to the hospital with Mel and Pen met us there. Piper's blood sugar is registering a little low so they are keeping her in the NICU overnight. Kelly was able to take us back to meet her though. She is completely precious! Over the moon for the Whites...

We made our annual trip up north to visit Jim's family. We made a brief stop at the outlet mall in KC then got up to Omaha Thurs afternoon. The girls had the best time! They played so hard with their cousins at the zoo, bbq and fireworks show. It was so awesome to see them have so much fun with their family that they don't get to see near enough! Jim and I were even able to sneak away for an adult night with Mike, Tiff, Angie and Joe (dinner and gambling :) fun!).
We are blessed to have such a wonderful family! Can't wait to see you guys next year!

I believe you really don't know the meaning of relaxation until you have 2 kids! Jim and I have been on cruises before but this time we really enjoyed having nothing we HAD to do :) We had an amazing time. Every day was awesome. From the comfortable room to the balcony off of it, from the room service to the room service again, to the wonderful food and ice cold beer, to the beautiful Caribbean and each other to share it with. It was truly our best vacation ever.

Penney, Melissa and I hosted a shower at Penney's house for Kelly's 3rd arrival, Miss Piper, whom we hope to meet in July! We had a great time with lots of lovely ladies.

We had our first pool party of the year! Jim made some yummy kabobs and we had a big crowd over to celebrate. It was chaotic and loud at times but thats what made it so fun! :) All the kids had a blast!!! It was so awesome watching them play...and they are slowly getting old enough for the adults to fit in some relaxing too (I said slowly :))

The girls had a great time at Corporate Family Day. They tried out all the bounce arounds, said hello to the puppies and snakes and hamsters, face paintings, food and lots more! It was a great time!

I was able to fly down to Pensacola to see Kim this weekend (thank you Honey!!!)! We had the best time :) I hadn't been there since she got married. I didn't bring my camera (i know...i know...oh the humanity) but I didn't want to get it messed up in the sun and surf and didn't have much room in my bag! However, Kim had hers handy most of the time and our phones worked great too! I can't wait to go back!

What a wonderful evening at the White house! We had great food and great fun...can't wait to do it again! After a yummy BBQ the kids got to hunt for eggs...again! The kids didn't mind though...they had a great time!

We celebrated Easter in Nashville with Papaw and GranGran. The girls were able to go on an egg hunt at their church. They had the best time! Then after church on Sunday we had a wonderful lunch with family and ended with another egg hunt. What a great weekend! Happy Easter everyone...

The Bottjens headed to Branson for a couple days during Spring Break. The first day was basically rained out so we made a detour to Jim's old stomping ground of Springfield. The girls played at a bounce around place there then we had a great lunch at Brad Pitt's favorite Mexican place (unfortunately he wasn't there!) The next day was gorgeous (but a little cool at first) so we visited Silver Dollar City. The girls were exhausted but had a really good time. I can't wait to bring the girls back on a less popular day. The crowds were CRAZY.

We loaded up and went over to the White House to watch the Super Bowl. The kids had a blast playing and this is one of the first times at our Super Bowl get togethers with the kids that I was actually able to watch most of the game! They did great playing together (although you can't tell by the group pic! My girls were soooo tired!)

Everyone was happy for the Saints!

We went to Reaghan's 3rd birthday party today at church's playarea. Grace Community is a wonderful place and an awesome spot for a party. The kids had a great time and didn't want to leave! I can't believe Miss Reaghan is 3 years old. Shes the most independent little 3 yr old I know, and shes not afraid to show it!! We love her so much!

I headed down to Little Rock this weekend to visit my old friends from Nashville. We were all getting together for my dear friend, Kerri's birthday. Kerri's in-laws were kind enough to let us use their cabin in West Little Rock. It was amazing! We had a great time...I can't wait to do it again next year!

My BF, Mel, had her 2nd baby girl today! I was so excited to meet their new addition. She is an absolute doll with precious blonde hair and a good set of lungs...maybe she will be a swimmer :) So happy for the Settles!!
